Descriptions, dates, and registration information for upcoming camps and events through Williamson County 4-H

2026 Williamson County 4-H Quilting Camp – FULL!

Are you interested in learning how to quilt or sew, but not sure where to start? Or do you already have some skills, and want to explore the artistry behind quilting? WilCo 4-H is hosting a 4-H Quilting Camp July 13th – 17th from 9:30am-4:00pm at the County Extension Office. Come learn some new skills (and possibly start a project to enter in the Williamson County Youth Fair!). You do not have to be a 4-H member to attend. Registration forms and payment are due to the Extension Office by May 27th, but hurry as spaces are limited to the first 24 complete registrations!Here are some additional details on the camp:

• The camp will be taught by a nationally recognized quilting instructor – Kathy Groves from BobKat Quilts – and assistant volunteers will include members of the local Chisolm Trail Quilt Guild. At the end of the week, you will have your own quilt top and other projects!
• Register by submitting registration packet (linked above) with your payment ($100 per youth) to the County Extension Office. The deadline is May 27th. Exact cash or checks are accepted. Make checks payable to 4-H Adult Leaders. We are open M – F from 8am to 5pm at 100 Wilco Way Ste AG201 in Georgetown, Tx! • We have space for a maximum of 24 participants – sign up soon!
• What’s included in your registration fee:
  • All material needed, unique patterns created for this workshop, pins, thread, scissors, etc.
  • Individual instruction and assistance
  • Snacks and beverages
• What participants need to bring:
  • Lunch for each day
  • A sewing machine (we have a limited number of machines that can be reserved to borrow – first come, first served!)
  • For experienced participants, if you have your own notions (thread, scissors, bobbins, etc.) that you use regularly, you may bring those to use.

District 8 County Camp will be held July 10-12, 2026 at Lakeview Methodist Camp in Palestine, TX. Registration forms and payment are due to the Extension Office by May 15 before 5:00pm. Download registration packets below.
