Below are 2  close-up shots of infested plants with  Fusarium Root root.  The picture shows a cutaway of the discoloration of the vascular tissue caused by a soil borne pathogen Fusarium that infects the root and extends from the root into the lower stem.  Under drought conditions the plant is blocked and cannot take up nutrients nor moisture resulting in wilting leaves and crop death.
