On Saturday, December 29th, the topic for “Hands on in the Garden” is Composting with Master Gardener Tommy King. Tommy will talk about the composting process including setup, helpful tools and common problems with composting. Tommy has been a Master Gardener since 2014 and currently manages compost at his home and a local non-profit. Tommy has also completed the Master Gardener Compost Specialist training. On Saturday, January 26, the topic for “Hands on in the Garden” is starting plants from seeds with Master Gardener Wendy Odlum. Wendy will show you how to get a head start on the growing season by growing transplants from seeds. Wendy has been a long time gardener and a Williamson County Master Gardener since 2014. She currently runs the Junior Master Gardener program at a local elementary school and starts transplants from seeds for all the plants used in their garden. The presentation will be followed by a “hands on” portion.
